At the Pier Restaurant in Hervey Bay. So we are pissed off with the place and with the guidebooks for recommending it, because it was expensive as well. But oh well, life goes on, and next time we will stick with the takeaways.
After Movie World we went to Sea World, where the dolphin show was out of this world...6 dolphins jumping 20m into the air doing back flips in perfect time with eachother. But Hannah and I had a great time doing the jetski roller coaster...each time it just got better so we ended up doing it 4 times.
Then it was off to Brisdane the town, where we were camping in a suburb and took a bus into town, for a day visiting the Modern Art Gallery and a trip up the river to the Koala Sanctuary. In the evening we spent about an hour looking for a restaurant that had disappeared and ended up eating lovely pizza at a new restaurant that was also a supermarket.
The next day he headed off for Noosa Heads and then up to Hervey Bay and a crappy meal. Tomorrow we are off to 1770, which really is the name of a town!

I also want to see jumping dolphins. Maybe I can ask Opa & Oma to take me with them to the "Dolfinarium". Lots of love from Ollie
ReplyDeleteI forgot to tell you that I am in love!!! Last weekend I met Annebel on the birthday of Jos. She is the dog from Pieter & Janine. First I was only playing with her but then I noticed that I like her a lot! So now she is my girlfriend. Unfortunately she left after a few days. She only lives in Nijmegen and I do not like that. Can we move to Nijmegen???
ReplyDeleteHello travelling people. Be astonished that I am still alive after a familyweek on the occasion of the birthday of Jos. On the Van Doornik Campingsite with so much people, so much wine and food, so many dogs and such a nice summer with a temperature like in the North of Australia now. Nice to hear about Byron Beach, Brisbane and Hervey Bay. What about Great Sandy Island, isn't it worth visiting? On my old Autraliamap you now left 'Nieuw Zuid Walis'. Hervey Bay lies in 'Noord Australia', together with 'West Australia' named "Nieuw Holland". Did you now already pass the Tropic of Capricorn? As always we like to follow you all. Love from S. & J.
ReplyDeleteWaf, waf, Hannah, Robert, Birgitta and Paul,
ReplyDeleteLife isn't easy for me. Do you know something about the Van Doornik Campingsite? Well, there I met a very nice dog called Annabel. She is from Nijmegen. She is my size, and a year younger, and ... she is lovely, so we are well matched. Three whole days we are running and playing with eachother. But the day before yesterday when I was walking with Opa, we arrived at Cafeetje Broeck, so I really want to go across the big bridge to the Broekermeerdijk, to met my girlfriend again. But Opa talked to me - I did not understand what - and we went back home together under the tunnel. I didn't like that! So I took a firm stand. So Opa had to talk to me for five minutes and than he gave me a pat on my back. "Come on", he said, and we went back home.
Yesterday we visited again de Broekermeerdijk. Alas, Annabel wasn't there anymore, and I didn't like to play with Baloo (who is always the boss) and with the dogs of Hans & Hanny and Lous & Ben.
I was lucky that I was invited by Elly to clamber onto her lap. Did you know that Broek in Waterland is a very big village. I'm walking with Opa every day for hours, and we met very interesting persons. You know that I'm a very patient dog, but .... when are you coming back from that far koalacountry? But of course, no worry about me, I am very lucky with Opa and Oma.
See you soon. Ollie
Thank you for the Ollienews. We are very happy that Ollie has a nice girlfriend, and that he is having such a fun time.
